The iCAN Digital Precision Cancer Medicine cluster is one of Finland’s six research flagships. iCAN integrates in a novel way precision cancer medicine and digital health approaches for discoveries and improved treatments. iCAN is a public-private partnership between the University of Helsinki, Helsinki University Hospital HUS, and companies. New knowledge from research is leveraged for innovations thereby improving both business opportunities and patients quality of life.
In your job as Communications Manager
You have overall responsibility of strategic planning and execution of communication for a globally significant novel research endeavor. In your job you aim to promote the visibilty and impact of iCAN by producing engaging high-quality content for relevant target groups utilizing media channels broadly. You also participate in development of iCAN functions and brand development as a member of the Exectuive Committee.
Your duties also include creating informative content for digital and social media platforms and development of visibility. You are self-motivated generating ideas to improve operations and utilize resources efficiently.
You are also in charge of coordinating communications within the University of Helsinki and partnering with communications resources among iCAN partners. You will take into account relevant target groups and coordinate collaboration in communication with them. The job also includes communication tasks for the capital area neuroscience network.
Are you the one we are looking for?
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, with brilliant presentation and organizational skills. You are a self-motivated communications professional inspired by the opportunity to work as part of a team engaged in cutting edge health research. You have capacities for strategic development of communications and eagerness to get involved in tasks at all levels. You are skilled in producing content and experienced in communication tasks, digital tools and utilizing analytics.
You are a srong mover and comfortable in team work and talented in project work. Prior experience in media communications and knowledge of media operations are benefits. Our target group Is largely international and our primary working language is English, but also national communication is important.
The job provides an excellent vantage point among communications and top research on the dynamic Meilahti medical campus. You are part of the UH campus communications team with a strong backing from the University of Helsinki communications and public relations section. Your tasks in a new national flagship provides a challenge and visibility natioanlly and internationally.
